Clubs and Ranges Manager

About the role

The Clubs and Ranges Manager is accountable for overseeing the adherence to the Arms Act and arms regulations by the shooting clubs and ranges across New Zealand through the management of certification, audit, and regulatory activities.

They will lead a team of subject matter experts and ensure the provision of sound advice, guidance and education to clubs and ranges in order to gain and retain certification. When necessary, the Clubs and Ranges Manager will oversee regulatory action to non-compliant entities

They will work in conjunction with the wider Arms Safety Control Group across New Zealand, as well as with external partners and stakeholders.

Special requirements and Additional Information:

 

  • Required to travel domestically and must have a full driver’s license.
  • Must be available to work shift requirements (occasional after-hours and weekend work).
  • Please Note: Role will initially be located in Feilding, until office property in Palmerston North is confirmed, early 2023.
